, it turns out this is important to us. what i've said to prime minister netanyahu is that given so far the talks are moving forward in a constructive way, it makes sense to extend that moratorium so long as the talks are moving in a constructive way. because, ultimately, the way to solve these problems, is for the two sides to agree what's it going to be, israel? what's it going to be, the state of palestinian. and if you can get that agreement, then you can start constructing anything that the people of israel see fit. in undisputed areas. now, i think the politics for prime minister netanyahu are very difficult. his coalition, i think, there are a number of members of his coalition who said we don't want to continue this. and one of the things that i've said to president abbas is, you've got to show the israeli public that you are serious and constructive in these talks so that the politics for prime minister netanyahu, if he were to extend the settlements moratorium, would be a little bit easier. and, you know, one of the goals i think that i've set for myself and for my team is to

're the belongings of a woman who was evicted from her apartment. 9news reporter kristin fisher joins us now with her story. good morning, kristin. >> reporter: good morning, andrea. so often we hear these stories of eviction and foreclosure taking place across the country but it's very rare to actually see somebody's personal struggle literally spread out on the sidewalk for all to see and that's unfortunately what has happened this morning. take a look. these are all of louisa diaz's belongings. she's 50 years old from venezuela and her stuff is literalliy packed up four or five feet high fun walked with me over here take a look at this. it's not just one street, or one side of the street where this stuff is. it's spread out all the way down the street. look way down there. it spreads out for three more blocks this way and it's all being guarded by a d.c. police officer and the reason he's here is because we're awaiting some trucks to come and take all of her stuff away. louisa has been in the united states for 22 years. she's been in her home, which is just in that block right there. she'

and a chance for some showers by the weekends we will get their into the weekend. let us take a look right now, i will see mind as storm is expected to pull into the area. even throughout the day we actually could see the showers will toward north and there's probably a chance to to get into our area through the north bay and it is sunday morning that record to see some sprinkles starting to play a bigger role in our forecast by 5:00 our worst expecting light showers all the way into san rafael. the golden gate bridge and as we head into 7:00 hour. really, most people will make up and feel the rain out there. but is expected to grow up rest of the morning and into the afternoon and insets day it is a better chance of picking up showers in the afternoon all the way to 5:00 bringing as raindrops into the forecast and even into the evening we could still be dealing with widespread rain. it is not by 9:00 or 10:00 that we will be seen that push on out and along the peninsula as well. right now are fog tracker is showing that the north bay along the peninsula and into the east bay and even pushing

. anne makovec is at san quentin prison in marin county to tell us why. >> reporter: if the plan that was in effect on monday would have stuck, albert greenwood brown would be dead right now but he is alive behind me at san quentin this morning because of a decision by a federal judge last evening. brown would have been california's first execution in almost five years, but judge fogel suspended the execution until he finishes reviewing a lawsuit against california's lethal injection procedure. concerns that it's cruel and unusual punishment. if the first of three drugs administered doesn't work properly, the inmate could suffer extreme pain from the third drug which stops the heart. the family of brown's victim just wants it over with. here's her brother speaking about what it was like after his 15-year-old sister disappeared. >> i remember getting in the truck with my father and... always gets us there... ... sometimes it just takes us a little longer to get back. ♪ a live look at the bay bridge toll plaza back up to the macarthur maze. there was an oil spill on the upper deck after a bus lost its transmission. that's why we are so badly back up for this necommute. the meter and lights were turned on a very close to 6:00 a.m. you can see things are backed up let switchover showing you traffic trucker interstate 80 is backed up all along the glory short freeway. we are seeing indications of of back up in macarthur maze. let's back that out a bit you can see there ride coming down from the freeway is definitely slowing things. slow from children's hospital in the westbound direction. a big problem for this commute. you can see all approaches are born to be jammed for a while. let's take go look at another problem interstate 580 in the westbound direction the back up from 2 05 interchange through the altamont pass towards airway boulevard. that was where there was another spill. the traffic has moved much better through livermore. the problem is a back up reach

. and schools in craven county actually had to close early. eric fisher joins us from ft. lauderdale, florida. wow. looks fun out there. >> oh, yeah. it's a barrel of laughs here in ft. lauderdale. the rain has been coming down. we are waterlogged. some towns have picked up three, four inches of rainfall since yesterday afternoon. as you can see, that rain continues to come down. the main threat with this storm is not the wind. it's not going to be a classic tropical storm. it's just a huge moisture machine. you have to think about this. the center is just south of cuba. the moisture all the way up from the caribbean into pennsylvania. that's where they're starting to see rainfall already. so pretty remarkable event. don't think of it as tropical storm nicole or what will become a nor'easter. just think of it as a heavy rain-maker. now, we are already seeing hydroplaning on the streets as the cars start their evening commute home. we're expecting a very slow ride. some schools have canceled their activities for the end of the day. call ahead to check on those. city officials went to work. mos

% say the country is head in the wrong direction. 32% say the u.s. is on the right track. with that in mind, 46% of likely voters believe the republicans should control congress compared to 43% in favor of democrats. that's within the margin of error and represents a smaller gap than last month when republicans held a nine-point advantage over democrats. this is what they want. 75% want a reduction in special interest influence. 70% want to elect outsiders. 54% want to bring more conservatism to the republican party and 54% want to see repeal of the health care reform. 42% of those say tea party is good for politics. when it comes to the president's job performance, 49% now disapprove of the work he's doing. 46% approve. that number has held fairly steady. more americans have positive feelings toward former president bill clinton than president obama. an amazing number. sarah palin has a favorability rating of 30%, higher than nancy pelosi who rated 22%. with polls showing that young voters likely will not turn out this november, president obama is hoping to fire up the d
